Barrack Point. I reckon one of the best surf areas in the Illawarra.
It has everything. Heavy ledges that hold solid swell, barrels, air sections, fat rolling waves and it pretty much works in all conditions. From up high you can watch the swell unload on the reef as you get ready to go out or you can sit back and watch people riding the waves from the ultimate vantage point.
It’s a place that caters to everyone too, surfers, fishermen, snorkelers, everyone from beginners finding their feet to world class surfers chasing heavier waves.
That’s why I love it, and why I made this picture.
